In the continuing low yield environment, Tony will look at some alternative sources of income, including investment trusts, and how these can be blended into a diversified income strategy.
Tony Foster is a Senior Investment Manager on the Diversified Multi Asset Strategies Team within Aberdeen Solutions. Tony, who joined Aberdeen following the SWIP acquisition in April 2014, has been responsible for the £370m Halifax Fund of Investment Trusts OEIC since the end of 2009. He also researches closed end funds for the Aberdeen Diversified Income Fund and other multi-asset clients. Prior to joining SWIP in 2000, Tony spent nearly 12 years with Baillie Gifford where his portfolio management responsibilities included a number of investment trusts. Tony holds a BA (Hons) in Metallurgy, Economics and Management from the University of Oxford and is an Associate of the UK Society of Investment Professionals.
